Caislen Campaign Notes

FYI: I've left the main PCs blank to create in the hopes that the players will make their own notes. So please feel free to get in there and create actual entries for them. Your characters are linked all over this wiki. I'm also tracking XP after games on this particular page now to help with what we'll call “drunk math”. Also see the Backstories section for more misc character details.

Anywhere on our campaign's website where something says “The Party” refers to whomever the active player characters are or were when an event happened or a note was made. Most context clues for these things can be figured out by reading the associated notes from the homepage or archived session lore.

• Eyrun Nephele - Goliath/Cleric/Wayfarer¹⁾
  • 1920xp as of 2026-01-06

    • “Impregnated” by assassin vine.
  • 3295xp as of 2026-01-23 (gained 650 @ side quest night²⁾)
  • • Completed the Phil quest to get a zombie and cure the impregnated issue.
    • Became Level 4.

    • Backstory enhancements!
      • Worst thing she ever did was leaving her dad behind.
      • Has no siblings.

    • Acquired Jim Bob The Bullfrog.

    • Met some cloud giants in Mustardia but unfortunately was a “Wild Puffapod”³⁾ at the time so couldn't speak or even be her real form as a Goliath. So the one person who could really be meeting distant kin, didn't truly do it.
    • Mustardia had a “cloud stone” of some sort that wasn't too dissimilar from Eyrun's holy symbol.

    • Was gifted a ring made of cloud stone from the giants in Mustardia.

    • Became Level 5!

    • Murdered 3 adventurers with potent magic during a simple bar brawl at The Card House.
    • Secretly saved by Jim Bob The Bullfrog during session.
    • Used the Cloud Stone Ring to cure Natalie the wereboar of Therianthropy.
    • Discovered that Jules had kept secret that they're both from Havenspass.
    • Was allowed by The Party to take the Fire Opal Staff from Krymec's Vault for herself.⁴⁾

    • Went on a side adventure in the Lethal Leaf Dungeon with Urist & Simp The Imp, to capture “werewolf Alimir.”
  • 9135xp as of 2026-04-14 (gained 350xp)
    • Re-encountered her father Atlas who is now a crime boss in Havenspass.
    • Discovered she has a half sister Phoebe.
    • Got herself and friends sucked into organized crime via running an errand for Atlas.
      • This was beneficial, slightly for Kess & Nix in reducing their “protection money” to Atlas. Her value to Jules' family increased.
    • It was revealed to everyone that Eyrun never did the Goliath traditional pilgrimage to a shrine in the Cloudfire Mountains to signify becoming an adult. Her social status in the Havenspass community suffers for it.

    • Further explored her daddy issues with Atlas.
    • Also gave him information about Niflome Moonshiners which impacts his rivalry with Stonefist.
    • Managed to find enough trauma that her Cloud Stone Ring activated.
    • Found out that her half sister Phoebe has figured out who she is.
    • Totally managed to make Succu dislike her.
    • Formed a theory about the Alchemy Bottle.
  • 10582xp as of 2026-04-28 (gained 860xp)
    • 10xp of the above came from doodling a hydra on an initiative card.
    • Drank a “toad tongues” potion which forever altered her to have two toad like tongues.
    • Pulled Pydraxcalibur from the swampy pond where The Party killed the 4 headed hydra.
    • Drank a potion of “beetle juice” that removes all warts which forever increased her CHA by 1 point.
    • Traded a few more verbal daggers with Succu when they ran into each other in Oakenshire.
    • Had a theory that conjuring bath water from the Alchemy Bottle would destroy low level undead skeletons as if it was a potent Holy Water. She was correct.
    • Broke out the Wand Of Wonders and began using it against an undead that was attempting to flee.
    • DM'S NOTE: Drinking potions that can have strong and unpredictable effects, being pretty sure she's stealing bath water from a god, and using high powered chaos themed wands are all fairly clear indicators of a chaotic alignment.
  • 11342xp as of 2026-05-05 (gained 760xp, 10xp is from heroic tunnel collapse.)
    • Promised her half sister Phoebe that she'd go on the pilgrimage up the Cloudfire Mountains to the Cloud Giant Shrine with her.
  • 11992xp as of 2026-05-26 (gained 650xp, 250xp is from the Goliath Rite Of Becoming an adult.)
    • Tragically didn't make it to Phoebe in time to leave on the quest with her. Instead Phoebe went with the AAP, with Eyrun likely being a disappointment in that regard.
    • Dragged The Party along with her to find Phoebe and do the major character development quest of becoming an official Goliath adult in the eyes of the Havenspass community.
    • Rested at the Cloud Giant Shrine wherein she communed with her god, now defined as Silfralta.⁵⁾
    • Discovered that Phoebe had left the Cloudfire Mountains by means involving a lift via broomstick from Succu who she is apparently good friends with. This relationship is very different from Eyrun's with Succu, as Succu thinks of Eyrun very poorly as “The Awkward One.”

    • Tossed everything metallic that could be subject to magnetism into the Blue Bag Of Hoarding where it is all currently trapped.
    • “Eyrun is only alive because she's too stubborn to realize she and Jules aren't friends.”⁶⁾

    • Confronted Atlas, said she was done with him, and left Havenspass supposedly forever.
      • Learned her missing mother's name is Jara Nephele and that when Atlas parted ways with her, Jara told him she was off to see the islands off the coast (of Mythburg.)
    • Told Jules' Moms that she'd make sure Jules writes letters to them.
    • Got her metal stuff back from the Blue Bag Of Hoarding.
    • Understands that Jim Bob The Bullfrog escaped her at some unknown point.

    • As part of being Level 6 an alignment vote was had by players as to what Eyrun is. It has been determined that she is Chaotic Good.

• Jules Jesko - Wood Elf/Ranger/Sage⁸⁾

    • Establishing herself as primary caretaker of Sunny.
    • Became level 4. Starts getting double attacks.

      • Ditched school as a kid to go play in the forest.
      • Jules Family
        • Has 2 Moms.
          • Biological Mom is Nix, a wood elf.
          • Non-biological Mom is Kess⁹⁾, a tiefling.
        • Father left¹⁰⁾ when she was an infant.
        • Has no siblings she is AWARE of, but anything is possible since the father is MIA.

    • Met her Wyrd Uncle Lugo in an amusing backstory twist.

    • Completed the Crompse Causal Loop.
      • Found out that Skip is a distant relative.
      • Turns out Jules gets “hug trauma” and is also not into kissing the toes of bandit queens.

    • Finally revealed to Eyrun that she's also from Havenspass.
    • Crossed paths with Wyrd Uncle Lugo again in The Mistwood. He'd validly left her alone as promised, and this time she basically came to him by helping guide the party across continents.
    • Acquired a perfectly normal rules accurate Scroll Of Fireball from Krymec's Vault.

    • Returned home to her Moms at their residence in the Havenspass Commune.
    • Discovered her Moms are being extorted for protection money by both Atlas & Stonefist.
      • Managed to get a reduction of money going to Atlas with Eyrun's help.

    • Coldly let Simp The Imp die and played it off to everyone outside the party as if Simp was a “hero” trying to save The Party. This resulted in Wyrd Uncle Lugo leaving town.
    • Solved an issue between Niflome Moonshiners & The Moms' Elven Cordage workers.

    • Was surprised to find Nix set her up with Rine for Ranger tutoring. This led to The Party and Rine heading out to slay a 4 headed hydra.

    • Discovered a suspicious deck of cards in Urist's belongings.
    • Saved the life of sentient animated stump Zyr.

    • Is starting to discover some tactics for hiding in the back during combat are ineffective as the combats get more challenging, and is showing tendencies to be willing to abandon The Party for self preservation if needed.

    • Said goodbye to Kess & Nix as she left Havenspass. Wasn't too emotional about it. Promised she'd write letters, probably for the sake of pacifying them.
      • Was handed a letter addressed to herself while still at The Moms', supposedly sent from Wyrd Uncle Lugo that simply said “Goldvale”.
      • Told The Moms they should donate Alimir's abandoned horse Duchess to a local stable.

    • Continues to hide in the back, walk away from problematic things, and place themself as the low impact, low blame person in The Party with a likely eventual assumption that when things go down and fingers get pointed, they will point less at her.

    • Became Level 3 & Selected “Path Of The Berserker” which means the “Frenzy” ability is in play.
  • 2245xp as of 2026-01-23 (gained 650 @ side quest night)
    • Proved useful with the Nature skill when no other skilled parties were present to identify some very important wild grapes.
  • 2770xp as of 2026-01-28 (gained 525)
    • Got to experience the addicting Shovel Of Alden as a personal weapon.
    • Became level 4.
  • 3620xp as of 2026-02-03 (gained 850)
    • Revealed he enjoys the Shovel Of Alden.
    • Backstory enhancements!
      • Destroyed a lot of his own village in a fit of rage.
      • Doesn't know if he has any siblings or not.
      • Used to work on a whaling ship and was rescued from a kraken by Salty Merlot.

    • Became Level 5

    • Finally got to be part of a tavern brawl at The Card House.
    • Oddly chose not to embrace following what he learned about the Marmyan Wastes being where his Jade Ring(s) come from and instead voted to leave the entire continent for Havenspass.

    • Went on a side adventure in the Lethal Leaf Dungeon with Eyrun & Simp The Imp, to capture “werewolf Alimir.”

    • It was declared that some sap from a Mistwood tree's roots encountered in the Lethal Leaf Hole strongly reacted with him and sent him into a deep chemically induced sleep. He was then moved to a bed at Jules Moms' house and left to recover, unconscious.

    • Finally awoke from his time being a victim to Mistwood Sap and rejoined The Party.
    • Learned almost nothing about Havenspass because everyone rushed him out of it almost immediately.
    • Excelled in a physical scenario involving making checks to jump between stone pillars, showcasing his role as the most physically competent in The Party.

    • Discovered the undead “Bard Of The Seas” Preston has an identical Jade Ring on his finger and it came from an island that Preston could potentially take Urist to sometime.

    • Placed all of his metal that could be magnetized and all of his magical items into the Blue Bag Of Hoarding while visiting the Magneto Elemental Tunnel. Everything of which is currently trapped inside of the bag, including but not limited to his Deck Of Many Things.
    • Gained a yeti pelt from the slain Abominable Yeti on the Cloudfire Mountains.

    • Made a new “friend” in The Cans district of Mythburg named Orangebeard The Lovely.
      • Went on a date, or something at Orangebeard's rental apartment. Set a follow up date, or something to be had at The Lobster Tank fungal bar.¹²⁾
    • Befriended Peg Leg Yeet, a boat captain that seems to be Preston's great-great grandson and may be another avenue to finding out more about the jade rings.
    • Got his stuff back from the Blue Bag Of Hoarding with the help of Alex, a mage working for the city of Mythburg.

    • Went on another date, or something with Orangebeard The Lovely. They offered to spend a lot more time with Urist and also asked for helping roughing up a canning company that needs some convincing to work with Orangebeard's company. Also offered to give Urist a tour of their ship “The Sideways Pineapple” if he can be helpful.
    • Was asked by Orangebeard to explain his rage issues from when he was younger. At this point a new piece of backstory lore was given that Urist was one of two foundlings, but the only one kept by his village!

    • Allowed himself to become sort of a hired thug for Orangebeard The Lovely shaking down a business. That relationship continues to strengthen.

    • Due to Kelthor's Book Of Great Awareness he is fairly certain he needs to find Preston in the Goldvale area for the sake of creating something lasting, and also he's aware that his river sibling/foundling companion is now in the town of Ethica.

• Alimir, the High Elf/Paladin
  • 6627xp as of 2026-06-16 (gained 350xp)
    • Memory Loss Woke up a week or so after falling asleep at a shrine, missing time and any clue as to what happened to him aside from a trampstamp that says “Succu”, a newly pierced right nipple with a gold ring in it that says “Cleave” in the Infernal language, and just the clothes on his back.¹⁴⁾
    • Was quickly found behind a dumpster by The Party.

    • Contributed to his own forgotten Alimir. Now out of character we know he started off with a more rogue like vibe.
    • Showed who he is by becoming a “Paladin Karen” around law enforcement in The Cans.
    • Has a permanent record via the City Watch in Mythburg.
    • Robbed an unguarded cart on the streets in The Cans.

  • Revealed to The Party to be from the Island Nation of Berm.
  • Became a Level 2 character.

    • Revealed more of her personality as she attempted to steal an elephant and pick pocket Alimir.
    • Became a Level 3 character.
      • Chose Arcane Trickster subclass.

• Vesper

• Alternate Animalfolk Party, the “AAP” for short.¹⁷⁾¹⁸⁾ as Milo, Marion, Anderson & Capelin¹⁹⁾.
• Zingle - Temporary party member while attempting to get some more actual players into the game. Maybe be used in case not everyone can show up for a future game, or may find himself benched.
• 3 Goblins whose minds and bodies the normal PCs fused with in the past and whose names the DM didn't bother to write down because he didn't want to. The character sheets still exist and no one knows if they've seen their last use or not.
• Simp The Imp - A possible deceased Imp that was with The Party for a little bit in the Havenspass region.
