Pydraxcalibur

Pydraxcalibur is a Longsword of Legend. Recently pulled from the Hydra Swamp where it spent an unknown time in an underwater cave guarded by a 4 headed hydra, it has resurfaced, pardon the pun. This sword has been the thing of children's' bedtime stories in the Havenspass area for centuries. As the story goes, the person who wields it is a natural leader of a land, and a people. The people in question are not referenced as the people of Havenspass. Rather in general the story of this blade, however it originally got started, implies a sword to perhaps king connection. Due to many ways it is told, and retold over time, the “leader” role has been told as one of a king, a prophet, a wizard, a rogue, and even a frog. The “land, and a people” part has been told as being the entire world, a continent, a kingdom with a great castle, a cloud island, a large city, and even a community of farmers.

“Strange women1) lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.”2)

Name/Concept

The Party featuring Jules, Urist, Alimir & Eyrun were fighting a 4 headed hydra in its swamp environment, where the water got deeper and deeper. The Dungeon Master was imagining a King Arthur / Lady Of The Lake vibe for the sword that they'd find as treasure for defeating the hydra. Meanwhile at the game session this occurred at someone had brought pie7) as a snack for everyone. The words Pie, Hydra & Excalibur then got merged into phonetically “Pie-Hydra” therefor “Py-dra”. “Hydra-Excalibur” into “Hydra-xcalibur”. Then into the final form of “Py-dra-xcalibur”.
