The Elves
There are standard elves as a race and using various classes as found in the core materials, but then are specific homebrew subraces, social divisions, historical notes and whatnot in this game.
- It has been determined that the average elf lifespan in this game setting is 800 years.
- Referencing an older PHB from a prior edition yielded that “an elf declares herself an adult, usually sometime after her hundredth birthday” as clarification as to when an elf is an adult.1)
HAVENSPASS WOOD ELVES
There is a distinct group of Wood Elves living in what is known as the Havenspass Commune. Of special note, player character Jules grew up there and has assorted family still living there. Most of the elves in the city of Havenspass reside in the commune. They are city dwellers that excel in a few trades that mostly serve as exports from the local area.
SHANGRI ELVES
Historically these were a group of High Elves living in the Dense Forest in the greater Goldvale area. There is no sign of them at present time, but maybe they linger in some form, somewhere.
SHELVES
Shelves is a blend of the words “Sheep” & “Elves.” They're a race descended from one single elf named Harthi who was turned into a sheep by a wizard and then cloned, repeatedly as different genders of themself, and left isolated for generations. They resemble talking sheep, but are in fact, actually elves. Their origin story comes from the Shelves Plateau. There is at least one Shelves Herd of 12 led by Harthi 3000 in the Goldvale area.
Other Elves
- Alimir is a High Elf PC, not originating from anywhere near the Goldvale area.
- The mysterious elves with a ring shaped farm in the Dense Forest that have some sort of connection to The Great Pumpkin.
