Party Prophecy
Glomein (calls herself) a seer. She's been living in Oakenshire for a decade. For all intents and purposes she's an elderly Gnome lady who speaks in what we'd consider to be a Asian-esque accent. She claims to have a power of prophecy. But it is debatable if it is prophecy or just strategic thinking. Most conversations with her end up with her claiming that some chosen champions will come from afar to free the town of Oakenshire from influence of nearby beholder ZuuNek The Paranoid. She's fairly hushed about these talks because she doesn't want to draw attention to herself as an enemy of the beholder.
She believes the following:
- That Heroes from far away will come to wipe out the beholder.
- That the smoke of a fireball is mightier than the fire.
- That Natalie plays a role in this.
- That Natalie must maintain a planting of Asian themed vegetables or she will die.
- Story: Sniv Spares Natalie
- That a sacrifice must be made.
Development
- On The Party's first stop in Oakenshire, having just arrived in the region, Glomein warned them that they'd end up fighting either a beholder or undead on their way to Havenspass. This ended up being a true statement as undead were running rampant on the H.T. heading North, where undead were encountered.
- When The Party later returned to Oakenshire, they (the actual players) seemed to forget that they'd spoken to the local seer previously, or that she'd made that prediction. This is/will be resolved no doubt next time they show up and try to chat with her.3)
- When The Party did return and chatted with her they were reminded4) that they'd spoken to her originally. This time Glomein mostly babbled on about stopping the beholder named ZuuNek The Paranoid, which might require a sacrifice, and Natalie. Glomein seemed to know nothing about the predicament involving the “Oaken Veil” that The Party was looking for information on. She basically only seems to orient toward beholder based issues.
