- To quote Ashley:
- “Did not have his shit together.”
- “Falling into self-loathing and debt, he took to drinking and very shady deals to keep the family going, soon trying to pull Eyrun into what he attempted to call a “family business” as she started to grow up.”
- This kind of screams crime family/mafia vibe.
An “unreformed Skip of a person” in young Eyrun's life to put it into terms this campaign understands.
Very likely grew up in Havenspass.
Lives at the Nephele House.
Left behind by Eyron when she took off from Havenspass.
Still the same charming-but-unreliable cloud-giant-kin Goliath charlatan who spiraled after Eyrun’s mother left and Eyrun bailed. The town’s economic decline gave him his shot: he clawed out of debt by shaking down alcohol smugglers heading toward Mythburg, then built the “Cloud Family” as a twisted protective clan for desperate locals who run protection schemes and more locally.
He justifies every racket as “what a father does to provide for his girls.”
- With Phoebe as his only remaining child in town, he’s poured everything into giving her a version of the stability he failed to give Eyrun except it’s built on crime and fear.

Development

When Eyrun initially collides with her father after many years estranged, she does so to try to negotiate with him to stop charging “The Moms”, Nix & Kess, protection fees. This results in Atlas lowering their fees to 25% of whatever they were²⁾ and his derogatory slang for The Moms comes out referring to them as “Rope Elves” since they run the cordage business over in the Havenspass Commune.
Atlas seems to have taken the restaurant Nailati as his base of operations for crime. Being a fantasy Dwarven (yet Italian) themed restaurant, it should be seen as him creating a comical stereotypical crime family location as if it was a bad mafia movie.
Phoebe, the younger daughter, or half sister to Eyrun lives with Atlas at the Nephele House.
- In Eyrun's old room.
- The place is in way better shape than when Eyrun left. Some money has been put into it.
Atlas has a large interest in alcohol smuggling to Mythburg.
- This implies he probably has some connection to Jesus at The Goat because booze has to come from somewhere and that's the closest known source.
Stonefist is the rival leader crime boss in Havenspass that Atlas must contend with.
Atlas has gotten Eyrun to take her friends, aka The Party and run one errand for him to check on a missing cart. This technically means The Party has worked for Atlas, and Eyrun even got paid for it.
Atlas continues to have encounters with Eyrun. She's brought him information about the Niflome Moonshiners & expressed some serious daddy issues while around him. The emotional trauma is epically high for Eyrun, but that is likely the nature of her personality. There's plenty of other trauma in the world, she just handles it poorly.
- Eyrun warned Atlas about Windward Mail based threats while he had the letter intended for the moonshiners in his possession. He sent the letter off to a safer location so Succu could get it and not cause problems for him.
Turns out that Atlas keeps a portrait of of Eyrun at the Nephele House. She was unaware of this until her half sister tipped her off.
Atlas was visited by his daughter Eyrun and she was very clear with him that now that she's an adult she's leaving town, again, for good, and this is goodbye.
- This broke his heart, again. As usual his focus returns to criminal activities since those he loves always leave.
Atlas was murdered several weeks after Eyrun's departure by the mimic imposter Fauxbe Nephele who immediately took the family business over for herself!
