silfralta

This is an old revision of the document!

Silfralta

  • Eyrun's deity.
  • Associated with Cloud stones.
    • Cloud stones likely are imbued with their magic due to this deity.
  • Associated with the Cloud Giant Shrine in the Cloudfire Mountains.
  • Associated with Goliath culture for the community of Havenspass.
  • Naming Convention
    • Old Norse/Germanic word “silfr” means silver.
      • Plays into Eyrun's holy symbol having a silver lining theme.
    • Latin word “alta” means “high” or “elevated”.
      • Plays into being up high in relation to clouds.
  • The perceived gender of Silfralta thus far involves assuming a maybe male, very ambiguous, “David Bowie” vibe.1)

Alignment: Good, Chaotic

Appearance: An androgenous humanoid form made entirely of cloud, body seeming to slightly shift and change as though caught in a perpetual, gentle breeze. Devoid almost entirely of facial features, save for an ever-present calm and friendly smile. They always appear to have a bright, silvery light shining from behind them which adds to a full body shining silhouette.

Presentation: When in their presence, Silfralta's voice is soft, gentle, and playful like a light spring rain on an oddly sunny day, like the kind of one would love to run and jump around in as a child. Their body language is both languid and playful, devoid of sudden or jerky expression. Mortals of a similarly aligned nature feel giddy and uplifted in Silfralta's presence with a growing sense of optimism and readiness about the future ahead of them.

Silfralta is an embodiment of fair things to come, good will, and luck. They encourage and reward positive outlooks and perseverance through hardship so long as actions do not stem from direct, malicious intent to undercut another for one's own gain. Survival is understandable, cruelty for cruelty's sake is certainly not. Those likely to gain a boon from Silfralta's favor are those who act for the true sake of charity or community betterment. Revolutionaries of Robin Hood-esque motivations, or even those who work in charitable fields such as orphanages or food and medical aid for those less fortunate could very well find luck in patronage to Silfralta.

However, those who would invoke more radical or strict “for the greater good” mentalities of community reform would not receive a single hint of acceptance from Silfralta and not a shred of their blessings.

No actual avatars for Silfralta have appeared in mortal seeming form in the campaign yet.
