Tropeical Sea
The Tropeical Sea is this campaign setting's version of a real life Caribbean Sea. It has small island nations, contested territories, sailors, pirates, and the overall tropical climate vibe. It is best thought of as being an area containing a chain of islands. The name is a play on the words tropical and trope for obvious reasons, resulting in the merged word Tropeical. It is pronounced phonetically as (“Trope-e-cul”).
Development
- From the very first session in this campaign it was established that there are some islands that contain Kuo-toa.
- It was also established immediately that a powerful kraken known as KraKaren inhabits these waters, sometimes taking down entire ships.
- Pirates like Pirate Captain Salty Merlot & BreadBert also have traveled these waters.
- Preston, Bard Of The Seas once roamed these waters and supposedly an island with his family heirlooms exists out there somewhere in the island chain.
- The Island Nation of Berm is one of the islands in the chain and it is known a lot of tropical fruit is produced there, which is due to the climate being warm. Player Character Matilda and NPC Orangebeard The Lovely come from there.
