• Secret: Is infertile and will try and ask PCs to get her a potion to solve that from Phil.
• Sick of her husband's drunk and gambling ways, currently separated & she's living alone at their house.
• Back in their youth both Skip & Phil were romantic interests for her.

• Has informed the PCs of her infertility and offered 10 gold or to be a supply of hay for PC needs if they run her errand of getting a fertility potion from Phil who supposedly has one for her. PCs watched her have an emotional breakdown about that and how it devastated her marriage to Skip.
• Sold the party a cow, still has 2 left on her property.

In the original incarnation of Goldvale Ema, along with Skip & Phil all existed as a love triangle, and were humans. Most of their details were otherwise the same plot wise, waiting for players to stick their noses into the business of these 3. Ema became problematic when she tasked that party with a quest to get the fertility potion made by Phil, who needed some human blood to make it work. Instead Ema cheated and used pig's blood, a baby was born, suspiciously rapidly, and it became sort of an anti-Christ. This is not likely as an outcome for the second time using Goldvale with new players, but that's how it went the first time around.
