 It was explained to The Party of [[Eyrun]], [[Jules]], [[Urist]] & [[Alimir]] at the first game session in Oakenshire that this area suffers from a nearby beholder criminal venture. Orcs (''with a C'') are apparently tied to it as well. The town is wary of this, but also has not been destroyed, so some balance must exist between these entities. The beholder this involves is named [[ZuuNek The Paranoid]].

+  * On the longest night of Winter the residents of Oakenshire hold a festival called **Fallah** by unlocking all of their homes and stores and having what amounts to a giant open house for 24 hours straight. They leave out food and drink in each house. Per custom, no one may be inside of their own house or store during the time of the festival, which forces the real spirit of the festival to take happen. That spirit would be **trust** in the community since no one has direct ability to mind their own things.
