Stonefist exerts near-total control over the mining, quarrying, and processing of stone and metal resources in the Havenspass region. This includes iron ingot production, high-quality stone for local idols and monuments (capitalizing on the Goliath tribes’ ancestral reverence for giant-kin), whetstone mining, and related extractive industries. The Guild operates with official city charters and presents itself as a legitimate guild, but it functions equally as a ruthless criminal organization.

Here Stonefist conducts both legitimate guild business and his illicit operations. The ground level handles official guild meetings, licensing, trade negotiations, and resource distribution. The lower underground levels, connected directly to mine tunnels and hidden vaults, serve as the heart of his criminal empire with activities that include: protection rackets, sabotage of independent miners, smuggling of premium ore and enchanted stone, black-market arms dealing, and engineered “accidents” that remove competition. Loyal ogres, trolls, and fellow hill-giant-blooded Goliaths enforce his will throughout the Havenspass region.

• The Party visited under the guise of asking about Lapata's business interactions with the Rockworks Guildhouse and learned there's a secretary and armed guards present. Eventually getting a brief meeting with Stonefist he explained to them that Lapata, even though he's a guild member, isn't really taken too seriously but does contribute funds to the guild. They then chickened out and ran away instead of conducting any real business, which would have been in the form of trying to ask Stonefist to stop extorting Jules' Moms for “protection money.”¹⁾
