 They essentially think he's some sort of saint, which means they think of him as SAINT PATRICK. Let it be declared for campaign purposes that Patrick's unspecified background includes absolutely no religious affiliations of any kind. But per the rules of 5.5e D&D and our homebrew take on [[Gods]], the very act of having so many people have a belief in something can have the unexpected result of elevating a belief into a deity like scenario.

+  * Patrick is an old acquaintance of [[Jack]] who is best known as the guy that runs the [[The Card House|tavern]] in the not too far away [[Goldvale]]. At some point Jack & Patrick crossed paths in their pasts and each knows a few details about the other that might surprise you.
+    * Patrick, a little fed up with the [[AAP]], sent them off to visit Jack under the guise of delivering a package and requested that he send them on a "quest" even farther away via a [[Half Star Portal Stones|magical item]] of Jack's that's capable of that sort of thing. The premise of which was to keep the annoying critters busy for a long time.
+      * As a generous way to make the [[AAP]] comfortable away from home for a longer duration, Patrick gave then the [[Magical Instant 6 Person Tent]].
+    * This plan got out of hand in part due to tampering by a more recently made drinking buddy of Patrick's, a celestial bear known as [[Ursavus]]. [[Anderson]], [[Milo]] & [[Marion]] ended up on another continent, with no known way to return home, in the [[Havenspass]] region, perhaps as happy little morons, looking for shiny things to bring back to Patrick from what they probably perceive of as a fun quest / vacation.
+  * Patrick found himself tasked by [[Jack]] to come to [[Goldvale]] to deal with the [[Player Characters|The Party]] after their return from [[Havenspass]]. Jack, concerned about their affairs being that he's well aware that they are all wrapped up in things involving [[Alden]] and frankly all sorts of other nonsense, realised he needed the world's foremost expert in reigning in chaotic and problematic people. The distinction of this goes to Patrick, because of his attempt to retire to a peaceful life and then somehow dealing with the [[Animalfolk]] on a daily basis. One might say Patrick is becoming the authority on adult babysitting.
+    * To this end Patrick begins at [[The Card House]] where he is staying as a guest of Jack's for however long it takes to knock some sense into The Party consisting of [[Jules]], [[Urist]], [[Alimir]], [[Matilda]] & [[Vesper]]. Attempt #1 to get them in line involves asking them to calm down, just focus on one seemingly simple task, and accomplish it. This instills some social pressure on The Party hopefully.
+    * Unfortunately for Patrick, who arrived in [[Goldvale]] with just his cat Whiskers, there are prone to be Animalfolk appearing because he never seems to escape them and their annoying constant worship of him.
