Urist is a Chaotic Neutral Dwarf Barbarian (Path of the Berserker). He is a capable sailor, and is very familiar with life on the water in general.

• 4'4“, 38 years old.
• Waist length messy black hair and beard.
  • Throughout his hair are several beads of bone, dried nuts, and wood, and one jade ring.
• Tan skin and yellow eyes.
• Several tattoos, notably:
  • An indigo river snaking around his left arm.
  • A black angular anchor on his right upper arm.
• Often light on clothes. Loose sailor's pants, shirtless if he can get away with it.

I'm going to leave it pretty vague, but I can focus in on details as needed or as would fit with potential DM future plans.

• When he was young, Urist was found on the river in the halfing fishing village Halenbron, or the Village of the Salt Hands.
• All that he had on him was a jade ring, assumedly from his clan. He has it in his beard now.
  • He's shown it to other dwarves, but they can't point to a clan just from the ring's craft.
• Became a protector of the village due to his Dwarven strength, but got too rambunctious as he got older.
• In a fit of rage (cause unknown), he destroyed a significant portion of the village.
• “You've learned to destroy. Now you must learn to create,” said the village elders, and sent him off, only to return if he can accomplish that. Urist sets out on the river.

• Picked up by a privateer ship. Seeing Urist's strength, and always looking for warm bodies, he was pressed into service.
• Really only learned about what other Dwarves were like during sailing.
• Knows Pirate Captain Salty Merlot from his past.
• Urist left the ship at port shortly before the campaign. Kinda marches to his own drum. They were probably expecting him back…
