THE MOOSE

The Moose1) is an indestructible, immortal, hostile moose that periodically returns to those it fixates on. In is immune to all magical attacks unless the attack involves directly touching The Moose physically as the caster. It can appear in any location at any time without warning and defying all logic. The vibe when The Moose appears and fixates is that of the chicken fights from Family Guy.

What is known about The Moose's appearance stems from coincidence due to a sequence of events.

  1. Dungeon Master plans to insert amusing moose into game as a random humorous element. Does not overthink description of moose.
  2. The only relevant detail the DM had decided in advance is that The Moose would have Glowing Red Eyes.
  3. A Player shows up that same night by sheer coincidence with a shot glass that rests on an upside down moose head and antlers from a local restaurant.
  4. Moose head shot glass becomes tabletop figure for The Moose's first ever appearance.
  5. Moose head shot glass has pink lipstick on the moose's lips, so it becomes canon for this campaign setting that The Moose is female and wears pink lipstick. This is D&D so we get real weird with it of course.
  6. CHA stat is an 11 which is good for a moose. This is because of its use of lipstick.

Combat Stats

Everything below was determined via improv while drinking alcohol during a game session… ** * AC 20 * **Heals 20HP every round at the start of its turn.

  • Has 3 attacks per round:
    • 1x gore attack with the antlers which it gets a +8 to hit with. Damage is a straight 1d20 to keep it interesting.
    • 2x bite attacks with teeth which it gets a +6 to hit with. Damage is a straight 1d10 per bite.

WHAT IS IT?

As it happens in this game setting, she, The Moose, is frequently viewed as a Deity Of Berserkers.2) The details of which are slim at this time, but essentially those following the path which she deems worthy start to have recurring visits from this hostile moose and no one really understands its motives but it would be nice to think The Moose has a plan for those on the path. If you are on the Path of the Berserker and it chooses you, either feel flattered or very afraid. It is probably both your nemesis and a deity that chose you, rather than you choosing it.

1)
Might get a better name later.
2)
Also a deity to those with anger management issues and too much battle lust.
