So what is the “Goldvale Quick-Merch” you may be wondering? It is the shameful attempt by your faithful Dungeon Master to drive players to use our website here. Thus this is a store, maybe a future chain across my fantasy realm, where players can do their shopping when they visit the fantasy physical location. They'll pick up their phones, and look at this page. This also defeats the issue frequently had at the game table of having a specialty store and only one print out of the merchandise, forcing players to share a piece of paper which tends to drag on. This entry ONLY refers to the Goldvale location. For a visual, please imagine this store as being any generic looking rectangular mini-mart looking structure you've ever seen attached to a gas station near a road. Ditch the gas pumps, but go ahead and imagine a little counter somewhere near the door and a few aisles of goods laid around. We'll say Goldvale's Quick-Merch is staffed by an NPC shopkeeper who will be a middle aged male tiefling. Players may give him a name if they read this and want to name him. He might also pick up a name if a plot line or other chaos gets linked back to him later.

To further my agenda of getting players to interact with the game's website, here are some standing “quests” that the shopkeep has for anyone that comes along and reads this. That means you, my dear players. Chances are if more of these stores appear across the realm there will be some interconnected trade quests, but as this is the initial Quick-Merch here's what you have to take a crack at, if you want.

• Acquire any Dwarvish Art from the Old Dwarven Keep or the subterranean area below it for a variable payment based on what you acquire.
• Acquire mushrooms from the Underdark for 5 gold EACH¹⁾.
• Acquire a live ferret ²⁾for 20 gold.
• A variety of purple apples grows exclusively on the island at Sucker Lake. Acquire 12 of these apples and get 50 gold.
• Acquire a volume of 3 square feet of densely packed wool and get 100 gold.
  • IF the wool quest is achieved, negotiate a trade deal on behalf of the shop keep with Zingle who due to the nature of socks, may have an interest in a wool source. Receive 10 gold.
