The Havenspass Rock Formation is a seemingly naturally occurring rock formation that's been around since even before Havenspass was founded. Records of the founding are scarce though… It is to the east side of town and while naturally occurring, it looks like a 12 foot tall stone golem basically, if you squint hard enough. For generations people have tried to detect magic on it, or explain it with theories of sculptors crafting it, or anything else sounding remotely plausible. But it doesn't radiate magic, alignments, doesn't animate, etc. It is just a rock formation that mostly looks vaguely like a 12 foot tall stone person.

There is a belief in Havenspass that “bigger is better.” This traces back to the giant-kin that are Goliath and others first settling the area, frankly coming from a bigoted mindset, then evolving into something more literal. At some point in Havenspass history someone had the idea to put clothing on the Havenspass Rock Formation each year on the first day of summer to represent a bigger more productive season than the year before. This carries on each year and anyone who considers themself important in the town participates in the decoration of the rock formation, as a tradition and show of status. There is generally peace on this day, regardless of who participates.

Rockmas as it is called isn't just celebrated by Goliath, but has instead become a mutual celebration for all locals regardless of culture. After the rock formation has been dressed up, there is usually a series of vendors selling crafts and local goods, free exchange of conversation amidst the peaceful atmosphere, and even the competitive stone throwing contest, which has snuck in more recently as part of the evolving set of traditions.
