This Disorienting Scrunchie is technically a beneficial cursed magical item. It is black, has a few hairs stuck to it which could be cat hairs¹⁾, we're really not sure. Typically it is discovered on the ground not far from where someone with long enough hair to wear it was sitting for awhile. Its power is simple, but very powerful. Once per day, as an action if during combat, or just at will otherwise, the wearer may use to will themselves ELSEWHERE. Elsewhere is usually not another plane of existence or anything so complex. Elsewhere is just somewhere else that isn't where they were when they used it, and it will be somewhere they are probably unfamiliar with or feel lost being at. This is an ideal ability to have when one is trapped in a prison or about to be pummeled to death by an opponent.

• Example: Bob The Bard is about to be eaten by a dragon so wills the scrunchie to take him elsewhere. Bob is suddenly on top of a building in some city he's pretty sure he's never been to before.
• Example: TPK is about to happen. Thelma, who we'll just say is a sexy wizardess, uses the Disorienting Scrunchie to ditch the situation and lives to fight another day while the rest of her party is slaughtered.
• Pre-requirement: Character must have either long enough hair to wear a scrunchie or a long enough beard to wear it. If this is fought about during a game session a scrunchie will be provided as a demo, likely from the player who's scrunchie is pictured below that has a tendency to end up on the ground at the DM's house.
  • Loophole: NPC Preston, an undead with no hair, was able to use the Scrunchie because PC Eyrun, a living being with hair, cut off a large lock of hair and tied the Scrunchie to Preston directly.
  • Not that the PLAYER is on the ground, just the scrunchie. Except that one time she was really drunk. Then she's prone to being on the ground. But for all intents and purposes this is about scrunchies on the ground not people.
  • The DM may be as outrageous with distance as they please for purposes of this, such as placing the user into a dressing room of a local queen or two continents away. But you know they'll generally not want to break the campaign, so there's that little limitation.
