 +====Events/Causal Loop====

-==History==+  - Party meets Skip and he's a horrible drunk pining over Ema and his issues about **infertility**.
 +  - Skip turns out to be part of [[The Cult Of Alden]].
 +  - Skip interacts with [[Player Characters|The Party]] somewhat, even helping them in a combat as they get attacked while locating the infamous [[Shovel Of Alden]].
 +  - Ema gets a fertility potion from Phil, which basically puts another nail in the coffin of her relationship with Skip.
 +  - Skip having knowledge about things related to Alden and now losing his mind over Ema goes to the graveyard around the Shrine Of Hayte with [[Lira]], breaks into the small remaining mausoleum, which is a secret micro-dungeon, and goes after the demon scrolls from the [[Toc Clan Coal Mine Event]] stored there by The Three. The Party follows him but flees the encounter right as Skip uses one of the scrolls to summon a demon, but they're not sure which.
 +  - **The [[Crompse:Crompse Causal Loop]] cycles through and some hard truths about Skip's whole life and persona materialize.**
 +    - Skip's actual problems with Ema about fertility started thousands of years ago.
 +    - [[Wyrd Uncle Lugo]] is really the entity that ruined Skip's life with Ema.
 +    - Skip doesn't know it, but [[Jules]] is an ancestor of his 6 to 8 generations later.
 +  - Skip goes full on trying to get better karma after the loop.(("My Name Is Earl" mode activated. Interestingly not a single player in this game appears to have ever watched that show. Which means the DM is going to have some fun with them.))

-In my original incarnation of the [[Goldvale]] scenario Skip, his wife and the necromancer named [[Phil]] are all humans instead of dark elves. The premise is they're a love triangle that the players stumble across and gets quests from, which led to chaos. They've all known each other for a long time, both guys had interest in Ema, then she chose Skip and married him. Down the road a bit Skip & Ema can't conceive due to infertility, and the couple starts coping poorly. Phil here becomes known as the local drunk and spends most of his time at [[The Card House]] gambling and drinking. As Ema takes her own path which involves seeking help from Phil via questing PCs at the time to get a fertility potion from him to help her get pregnant. This goes horribly wrong because it doesn't help mend any relationships, and the potion didn't have the outcome that was desired either.+====Development====

-==Revised Phil/Goldvale==+  * In [[Goldvale]] Phase 3, wherein The Party returns after being away for months, they find out from Lugo that Skip went to explore the [[Rusty Cave]] and no one has seen him in several days. They head out to rescue him and find out that the Rusty Cave, which local lore claims has a rust monster living in it, is actually an old gnomish location with a gold vault, mechanical and magical constructs as defenders, and that Skip is stuck in the vault. Attempting to rescue him goes poorly and Skip is about to die, along side of [[Urist]] & [[Jules]]. They all suddenly are presented with a magical contract by [[Wyrd Uncle Lugo]] sight unseen, to sign and be saved. All three do.
 +    * The [[Nephele Timeline Branch Event]] then changes all of this and only **Skip** ends up signing a contract with Lugo as The Party never arrives to save him in the newly branched timeline.

-Running this scenario through again I've changed it up so that Skip is a dark elf. In the original Goldvale scenario there was a graveyard. In this one I've replaced it with Skip running a crematorium as a way to "screw Phil" because an area without bodies to loot doesn't benefit a necromancer. Most of what happens next will depend on how the players awkwardly get involved.+Running this scenario through again I've changed it up so that Skip is a dark elf.
