+Jim Bob The Bullfrog now has an official backstory, starting before the point where [[Player Characters|The Party]] meets him via [[Kim]]. Why? Because as predicted above, this bullfrog does not just get to live a simple life.

+    * Jim Bob spent months living inside the [[Warlock Well]]’s stone lip, sipping the magically charged water that collects after every transaction. Magical insects (drawn to the well’s ambient magic) became his primary food source. Over time his amphibian physiology evolved to filter and store arcane residue from them. Now any spell or magic used around him gets filtered the same way, turning into a temporary stored power surge. It is quite possible that he has the further unique trait of being able to process other things such as diseases, curses, poisons and more. What can he do with that power? We're not sure what the full scope of that is just yet.

     * This threw the DM for a loop because certainly players MUST adopt and make a huge deal of cute defenseless things! Is the DM becoming attached? Damnit.
   * An annoying Quickling sabotaged the pond and its pump system in the room and caused it all to flood out into a hallway, setting Jim Bob free in Mustardia Manor.

He continued to be overlooked, or mostly forgotten as a companion by [[Eyrun]] who technically holds his terrarium as a possession. So this bullfrog just keeps getting jacked up with more magical energy that it might regurgitate at some later point. Also, he's frequently left hungry as no one remembers to feed him.

+  * Jim Bob The Bullfrog was reunited after many weeks apart from The Party. The Party was off exploring [[Mythburg]] and Jim Bob was trapped on top of the [[Cloudfire Mountains]] at and near the [[Cloud Giant Shrine]]. Given his nature of absorbing magic around him, this had consequences. You see, Jim Bob mostly wants to be in [[Goldvale]] near his home which is the [[Warlock Well]]. The power of [[Cloud Stones]] and thus [[Silfralta]] started entering him. Unbeknownst to humanoids since he can't express it, Jim Bob is technically a form of [[Cleric]] of [[Silfralta]] due to absorption. His time spent particularly at the [[Cloud Giant Shrine]] enables him to summon and vaguely control the small cloud island known as [[Eyrun-Alta]]. When [[Eyrun]] got her larger [[Cloud Stones|Cloud Stone Ring]] and summon the cloud island for the first time, it then took her and her companions to [[Goldvale]]. Unknown to her it really went there because that is where Jim Bob desired to go. As par for the course, Jim Bob was immediately ignored and overlooked by The Party upon arrival in Goldvale. While he technically has some experience points as a character, that we've failed to track from week to week, it is safe to just say he is definitely several levels of magic user multiclass frog at this point. e.g. Absorbing cloud stone magic and being adjacent to things involving Silfralta who is all about clouds, which are moist, is fairly perfect for a moisture loving frog.

+  * Jim Bob The Bullfrog has made it all the way back to his home inside of the [[Warlock Well]] and has taken up residence usually about 30 feet down the well, at the back of a fist sized tunnel that goes in about 20 feet. He likes to hang out at around the 15 foot mark, making him fairly unreachable and is capable of doing things like casting a fireball back toward the well itself for defensive purposes. [[Matilda]] is wise to the fact that he can control [[Eyrun-Alta]] and has shared this with her party members.
-What next? Will Jim Bob The Bullfrog find its way back to The Party? Will someone try to kiss it hoping it turns into prince charming? Will they give it a home inside the [[Warlock Well]] to see if it takes on any strange powers? Will someone show up at a game session with a frog miniature? It's all speculation but somehow this frog's story doesn't seem like it can end this quickly.
