Caislen Campaign Notes

The “Quick-Merch” is a chain of convenience stores across the campaign setting, where player characters can do their shopping. For a visual, please imagine this store as being any generic looking rectangular mini-mart looking structure you've ever seen attached to a gas station near a road. Ditch the gas pumps, but go ahead and imagine a little counter somewhere near the door and a few aisles of goods laid around. We'll say Hylund's Quick-Merch is staffed by an NPC shopkeeper who will be a middle completely apathetic halfling teenage girl. Players may give her a name if they read this and want to name her.

• Gaudy Souvenir Dagger

  • Copper-hilted dagger with a little skeleton painted on the blade itself. Tacky, but does do 1d4 piercing damage.
  • Bad Berry

  • Usually not sold individually, these “bad berries” are a twisted response to their alternate namesake. Each one when consumed deals 1hp damage. They do not expire.
  • Mellistari Gland Chews

  • A suspicious small candy sized chew that tastes like honey but seems to functionally give the benefit of a short rest no more than once a day.
• Pure Plains Spring Water

  • Water that allegedly is completely not contaminated and comes from a local “spring”. (wink, wink)
  • Fill up any container from the tap for that price.
• Big Sack

  • This is some BIG SACK. A high quality sack that'll hold your loot. Even better each big sack has been touched with some needle and thread to have the phrase “I visited the Hylund Plains” on it, in goblinoid.
• The Foot-Long Ration-Dog w/ Mustard

  • A footlong sausage on a bun that seems like it'd take a couple days to spoil due to whatever is in it. Filling, although maybe not the most nutritious thing, but it will suffice to keep an adventurer fed as a ration for a day.
  • The Quick-Merch asks that you do not make any jokes about the Foot-Long Ration-Dog w/ Mustard unless you write those jokes into this entry for later amusement.
